Happy Diwali!

Waking up early morning, oil bath, new clothes, good food, beautifully lit lamps, crackers, friends, family, new movies, did I mention FOOD, snacks, and food – missing the spirit of festivity of home !

Happy Diwali everyone 🙂 Diwali is the Indian festival of lights that is believed to bring happiness and prosperity. I hope your rest of the year and the fast approaching New Year is filled with loads of love and happiness.

  1. Happy Deepavali! Yes, here it is celebrated till Chhat, which is the sixth day after Amavasya (Shashti for Tamilians, which also happens to be Skanda Shashti). So I am not late in wishing you. Loved the imagery. You have brought out the contrasts beautifully. And the ‘kanna’ part! Only a mother or mother-in-law can use that term 🙂

And hey, I am one of those old timers who likes her notifications in her mail box, so how about getting a subscription-by-email option inserted in your blog?

    • Thank you ! Happy Deepavali to you too. It is an extremely accurate representation by a blogger on Tumblr called Tambrahm rage. Unfortunately the image attribute had not been showing up all this while. I just made sure the reference link is shown, I shouldn’t take credit for the picture. I also just inserted the subscription by mail option. Thank you for the suggestion 🙂

  2. Hahaha 😀 This was hilarious and I suppose you must be the brother explaining the difference between diwali & deepavali to Sandy. I hope the murukku & sweets & all looked yummy.
I don’t celeb diwali coz of exams. Waiting to just clear this crap and then celebrate all the festivals. Happy Deepavali btw 🙂
